Baby: Week 6
You’re now making spontaneous movements, and can twitch your trunk and limb buds
Each day, changes make you more recognisable as a small person just like you. Now your lungs are forming![1] Brain function, as measured by EEG waves, can be recorded within days.[2] Nerve cells in the brain are connecting, forming primitive neural pathways. Your hands can bend at the wrist, and webbing is disappearing from your feet. Your tail is just about gone. Tastebuds are forming on your tongue.[3] You’re now making spontaneous movements, and can twitch your trunk and limb buds.[4]
