You get a new name this week: foetus, which is Latin for 'offspring'.  Your mum’s offspring is now 3.1cm long from crown to rump and weighs less than 4g. You’re very active now, and can kick your little limbs and even swallow. All vital organs are fully formed and working, and the nerves are stretching out from the spinal cord. Your fingernails are visible now.[1] Your ear is fully formed. Intestinal development is now advanced.[2] Teeth buds are forming inside your mouth.[3]

Your head is almost half the length of your entire body! Your head has become rounder, and your neck is beginning to develop.[4]
