79% of babies survive premature birth 25 weeks after conception.[1] Your size, breathing, brain activity, sleep habits, movement and eyesight are far enough advanced that these systems can normally carry you through a premature birth with proper care.
You now weigh about 875g and measure about 36cm long. You sleep and wake at regular intervals and suck your thumb or finger. Experts believe that babies begin to dream around this time based on brain activity. Brain tissue continues to develop, with the grooves appearing on your brain now.[2]
The second trimester is now over.
